B's lose out on Semi Spot
The B's ended their 2008 league campaign with a loss to Drumhowan which ended any hopes of a semi-final spot. Drumhowan took control of the game in the 2nd half scoring 1-2 in a number of minutes to go 3 clear. Tyholland only managed one point the whole half with Peadar Farrelly shooting over while Drumhowan added to their lead to run out 2-11 to 0-10 winners.

B's make it 2 in a row
Tyholland's 2nd string played their 3rd league game in 7 days when they traveled to Clones on Sunday evening last. The visitors got off to the worst start conceding a goal in the first few minutes from a quickly taken free kick. However we gradually got ourselves back into the game and into the lead thanks to a well taken Roddy McCoy goal. However the score of the half belonged to Cathal Quinn who landed a great point just before half time. Tyholland continued to dominate proceedings in the 2nd half and once Sean McQuaid pointed with his right foot (Better chance of meeting a leprachaun) there was no doubt that victory was in our grasp. Clones did manage a late penalty to close the margin to 4 points but Tyholland held out to win 1-10 to 2-3.

B's get first win
Tyholland traveled to Inniskeen for their 2nd game in 7 days and finally got the outcome they deserved. There was little scoring for both teams in the first half and again Tyholland were guilty of a kicking a lot of wides. However it was the first few ten minutes of the 2nd half when Tyholland put their stamp on the game and opened up a 3 point margin. Peadar Farrelly firing to the net after a good move. Tyholland had further goal chances but again the finishes weren't good enough. Inniskeen did manage to close the gap but 2 Dermot Coyle points put the points in the bag for the visitors.

Tyholland did start brightly but again were left to rue missed chances as Killeevan held out to win by 4 points. Not even a late goal by substitute Dermot Coyle could revive the visitors chances of their first points of the season. Instead it is 0 points from 2 games.

B's Lose to Harps
Tyholland lost their opening Reserve league game to Monaghan Harps in Rooskey last weekend by 2 points in a game that we should have won but for some badly missed chances in both half's. Adam Askin X3, Cathal Quinn X3, Peadar Farrelly and Michael Boyce provided our scores but in either half we could never edge our way into the lead and trailed by 2 points at both half time and full time. An encouraging display but a disappointing result.
